BIRMINGHAM, AL. --On May 20th WeINSPIRE highlighted 16-year-old Bella Adlah, the founder of Have Fun & Stay Strong. Bella and her family are now in need of support themselves. Bella is currently battling multiple functional neurological disorders. Since May 2021 the teen has been hospitalized multiple times with seizures, muscle and nerve pain, and has sadly now lost the ability to see, walk and eat. Her family has now stepped up to take care of Adlah and support her and her endeavors. Bella’s younger sister Gabrielle Adlah, is now running Have Fun & Stay Strong with Bella’s help and oversight. The organization is something Bella is deeply passionate about and wants it to continue now that she has had first-hand experience being hospitalized with a debilitating illness. Bella’s mother, Linda Adlah, said, ”She really saw just how much her care packages are needed and just how much they do make a difference.”

The family has also set up a GoFundMe to raise funds for Bella’s recovery as they search for rehabilitation facilities and therapeutic services. Bella's family has also stepped up to help her with therapy on their own as they currently wait for placement to open up in a facility.

“It’s really a matter of fighting for what’s best for her, ” Linda said. “Fighting for what she needs.”

The GoFundMe is set up to cover any costs for Bella's rehabilitation, medical bills, and travel funds needed to reach facilities and hospitals. The family is also open to finding physical and occupational therapy recommendations so Bella can receive help immediately and recover.
